Product Introduction
Sea buckthorn is a general term for deciduous shrubs of the Elaeagnaceae and Hippophae genus. There are 6 species and 8 subspecies in China, among which 3 species and 6 subspecies are endemic to China, including Hippophae rhamnoides subsp. gyantsensis, Hippophae rhamnoides subsp. mongolica, Hippophae rhamnoides subsp. sinensis, Hippophae rhamnoides subsp. turkestanica, Hippophae rhamnoides subsp. yunnanensis, etc. Among them, the most common one we see is Hippophae rhamnoides subsp. sinensis. Distributed in Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, and western Sichuan in China, it grows on sunny mountain ridges, valleys, dry riverbeds or hillsides in temperate regions at an altitude of 800-3600 meters, on stony or sandy or loess soil. Its characteristics are drought tolerance and wind and sand resistance, and it can survive on salinized land. Therefore, it is widely used for soil and water conservation.
Sea buckthorn accumulates 1 to 5 times the active ingredients of similar plants. Among them, proanthocyanidins (OPC) and α-linolenic acid play important roles in antioxidation, scavenging free radicals, and improving immunity. Among the nutritious and active components of sea buckthorn, proanthocyanidins are one of the main active ingredients. Proanthocyanidins, as a new antioxidant and free radical scavenger, are a general term for a large class of polyphenols in bioflavonoids.
Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Extract have extremely strong free radical scavenging ability and can resist oxidation, anti-wrinkle and firming.
